SK Cargo Limited is a Dhaka-based logistics and freight forwarding company founded around 2017–2018. It specializes in door-to-door shipping and import services from China, offering product sourcing, quality inspections, air and sea freight, and customs clearance. With multiple warehouses in China (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Yiwu), it supports medium and large entrepreneurs in Bangladesh seeking efficient, end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Challenges

SK Cargo ltd, a B2B logistics firm, wanted to expand their current service into the massive China-to-Bangladesh B2C e-commerce market. They required a consumer-facing platform that can automate the ordering and delivery process from Chinese sites like Taobao and ensure order transparency and reliability, but lacked the necessary in-house development capacity for rapid launch and scalability.

Solution

Polygon Technology delivered the complete web-based platform called “Moitree”, integrating complex international logistics and ordering and payment processes into a seamless customer interface. This custom-developed solution leveraged Polygon’s expertise to quickly transform the operational strength into a scalable B2C service, enabling swift market entry.

Product Search & Selection

Users can browse and select products from external marketplaces like Taobao, including variant options such as size or color.

Smart Cart Management

Cart is organized by seller/store, allowing users to manage and purchase multiple items individually or in bulk.

Integrated Payment Gateway

SSLCommerz is integrated to securely process payments and mark orders as “Approved” upon successful transaction.

Order Status Tracking

A 12-step order lifecycle provides real-time tracking from payment to delivery, including intermediate steps like shipping, warehouse, and QC.

Warehouse Barcode Scanning

Products are scanned at the China warehouse using barcode scanners to fetch transaction IDs and update statuses automatically.

Automated Shipment Categorization

Products are weighed and categorized (e.g., battery or non-battery) to determine shipping cost and compliance.

Invoice Generation System

Invoices are automatically generated based on product weight, type, and delivery location, ensuring accurate billing.

Delivery Charges Calculation

The system calculates dynamic delivery charges (inside/outside Dhaka) and adds them to the total invoice.

Admin Pricing Control

Admins can set product margin percentages that are added to the base price from Chinese marketplaces.

Currency Conversion Management

Admins can configure the current RMB to BDT conversion rate, affecting all pricing and calculations in the platform.

Delivery Fee Configuration

Admin panel allows separate configuration of delivery charges for Dhaka and outside-Dhaka deliveries.

Reward Points Redemption

Admins define how points convert to BDT, allowing customers to use points as discounts during checkout.

A fixed China-side delivery cost (in RMB) is added to the final product cost and managed by admins.
